Dante lay in bed. Vincent... memories of earlier times cam back to him... times of innocence. Before love had come to anyone. Interestingly, before Haruhi had been born. He laughed. That was a long time ago. Though the times were sad, he forced himself to smile. At least Vincent wasn't feeling pain. He was gone.... unless..... Dante shot up in bed and made the connection between the Watch and Vincent. Saphire... He muttered to himself. He really is the toppermost of the poppermost. That was usually a demon or demonhunter's perogative, but Vincent seemed to have used it. He woke up, got out of bed, and dragged a comb across his head. He ran to Haruhi's sleeping chamber and knocked on the door. I need to talk to you, Haruhi.

Haruhi looked out her window. She was back in her half elf state, but she knew how to go back She held Vincent's last gift to her in her hand.

Vincent, why did you leave me? I still need you...
She said quietly. Haruhi turned, hearing Dante call through the door. She sighed and went over, opening the door.

Yes, what is it Dante?

Deepshadow woke up and stood up abruptly. He was thinking about revenge before he went to bed, and revenge had followed him into sleep. He had decided a fitting punishment. Eternal torture would be fine. agh, he was thinking like his father again.

He got dressed in his assassin suit and opened the door to let the others know he was up. then he went over to the window and looked out, not minding the cold blowing in.

Dante ran in awkwardly. He was rather frantic. That watch, where is it? He fumbled around for it and saw it in her hand. He rudely grabbed it out of her hand. Sorry.. But trust me, you'll thank me later. He took the watch in his hands and stared at it. Indeed, it bore the Ignatius insignia. He put his hand over it. Megarerga! He cried, and a pink light shot out of his hand. The watch opened and a voice was heard.

Dante! You figured it out. Haruhi!

Serenity couldn't get to sleep. Thoughts ofHaruhi's wedding ran though her mind. She looked at the materia in her hand and sighed.

Okay....just what am I supposed to do with this????
She thought. Serenity sighed. She put a black coat over her white shirt and black pants. She opened her door. She saw Deepshadow standing there. She went over to him.

She said, not knowing what else to say.

Yes. Ish. Mostly. In a sense, it is. It's my soul, to put it most simply. What La'Quaza killed was my physical being, and some of my thought. But nothing important. I made the transfer into the watch a little after the wedding. So... Yes. It's me. I can't do anything right now but talk through a pocketwatch, but yes. It's me. If you could find me abody I could temporairly use, that would be nice. Dante knows how to do it

Hey. How's it going? Deepshadow said as Serenity walked in. he shut the window thinking that the cold might get to Serenity. He realized just how cold he was then. he had been so deep in thought he hadn't noticed.

It seems unreal, even though we knew it was going to happen. I had hoped that they would get married before he had to die. I can't find his soul either. Plus to top that, I don't even know where Laquazza is. I feel useless.

He hugged her. At times like these, he needed something solid to know he was still standing. He kissed her hair. This entire thing reminds me how fragile humans are. Vincent was a vampire, and he was killed just like that. I know I shot that guy. Was he a homoniculi? Still, if he comes for you, all I can do... he faded off, letting the unsaid words hover in the air. "... might not be enough."

Serenity hugged him back. She knew how he felt. If he came after Deepshadow, she would do everything she could to protect him.

Don't worry. We'll find Laquazza and kill him. No matter what.
